Forms & Paperwork

More ▶

“Which documents do I need?” We, at Asheville Montessori School , have sought to minimize waste in paper by combining several documents and producing digital copies of other resource documents, thus eliminating the need of printing them.

Letter of the Week!

More ▶

Each week, we will be learning about a new letter, and things that begin with that sound. Your child will do activities and art projects that will relate to that letter. On Friday, we will have show and tell. Please allow your child to bring something from home that begins with that letter. We encourage things from nature, photographs, and real items for show and tell. Be creative!

Ambassadors!

More ▶

What is an Ambassador at AMS?

An Ambassador at AMS is a returning parent who has volunteered to reach out to new families to help them integrate into our AMS community!  A new parent is given several opportunities to connect with their Ambassador in the fall of each new school year!

To either volunteer to be an Ambassador or to receive a contact from an Ambassador, please email ambassadors@ashevillemontessorischool.com.

Inclement Weather

More ▶

In the event of inclement weather, we will announce our closings in three places by 6:45 AM

  • On WLOS (channel 13)
  • On our message machine at the school
  • The WLOS website

We encourage families to sign up for the WLOS text alert for the latest updates. Click on the icon below to access the WLOS School Closing Web Site.

Parents can help by taking the following steps:

  1. Please be aware of changing conditions. If roads continue to deteriorate after an announcement, please check to see if our status has changed.
  2. Make sure that we have your up-to-date contact information in case we have to let parents know of early closures.

(Please Note: Asheville Montessori School does NOT follow Asheville City or Buncombe County schools.)

As always, our first consideration is your family’s safety. Please be careful as you travel the roads to and from school.
